New Image
This site featured some art of brian chippendale, but also of Andrew Jeffery Wright, who i first heard of when he opened for Lightning Bolt with a stand up act. He told me i looked like i did my hair with egg beaters covered in doo-doo. Cool guy

Holzwarth Publications press release:
The result of a collaboration between the filmmaker Harmony Korine and the painter Christopher Wool, this series of experimental images tests the limits of the pictorial and the abstract, pushing the boundaries of visual and textual narrative to extremes. Korine's photographs form the basis of an intense process of layering, drawing, overprinting and photocopying as each image is passed back and forth between the artists until the images are reduced to ghostly shadows beneath a barrage of scumbled dot-screens, random patterning and symbolic blurs and drips. Gradually the fragmented, distorted images serially mutate, attacked by a combination of mechanical and human processes, yet despite the violence exerted upon it, a vestige of narrative always survives.

Caroliner Rainbow
"Caroliner (formed in 1982, in San Francisco) is an Industrial Bluegrass/Experimental/Noise conceptual art Costume Rock band, dedicated to creating a fever dream of American psychedelia - utilizing bluegrass music instruments, weird effects, other-worldly pageantry, and day-glo character outfits similar to those of a "Disneyland ride with a Spike Jones and his City Slickers sense of individuality." For example, band member Puppy Whowoundup built an actual spinning heliotrope animatic cap that revolved on top of her head. Member The Brazen and Meticulous Pintle sports a spinning Brittleback wheel as a codpiece for her stringed instrument."
"According to the band, "Caroliner formed as a tribute band to the singing bull of the 1800s who had the same name. Influences include most and foremost The Skillet Lickers, Barrel Gordon Trio, and Dock Boggs, also making nods along the way to The Hoosier Hotshots, Spike Jones, Tiny Tim, and buckets of nails being kicked down the stairs. The Caroliner name stands alone (as seen on the cover of the organ based long play record "Toodoos"), to represent the band on most printed materials. The following "rainbow" word is only used when it is in conjunction with a line from Caroliner lyrics. The possibilities are endless: "Caroliner Rainbow Charlie Stink Creek", "Caroliner Rainbow Bowed Wart at the Turn", "Caroliner Rainbow Moth in the Waves", " Caroliner Rainbow Double Snap-Passion of Vaunted Elderly Fashion." Every 10 LPs results in a 'live' LP that sums up the next ten albums with some "songs in progress" between the live "hits"."
Their records and tapes come in home made packages-printed and drawn-on pieces of garbage they find on the streets of california.
"him: you'll never believe what i saw in rough trade.
me: what?
him: a caroliner t-shirt!
me: no!?! did you buy it?
him: well....no.
me: why?
him: because it was an old potato sack with hole cut in it for the arms and head and the word 'caroliner' scribbled across it in felt tip pen. i'm not paying £10 for that.
me: .....oh."

I seem to be a verb
Buckminster Fuller along with Quentin Fiore (graphic designer, choreographer), and Jerome Agel (producer, overseer), same two who worked with McLuhan on The Medium is the Massage and War and Peace in the Global Village. this, like the others read as the mans thought process. non-linear language alongside of image (the two almost never seem to really relate), describing a group of ideas and conveying meaning better than a linear essay. Each page spread has two ink, black and green, the green requiring the book to be turned 180 degrees to be read. I got through about thrity pages reading both colors before i moved on, only to discover that the green picks up where the black ends. Too much to describe.http://grabblogger.blogspot.com/2008/07/i-seem-to-be-verb.html
